1. Introduction

According to Article 3 paragraphs 2 and 3 of Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 (the “Data Act”), we would like to inform you as a user about our connected products and related services, the data generated on this basis, and your options for accessing it.

2. Connected Products and Related Services Covered by This Statement

2.1. Connected Products, such as:

  • Robots
  • AnyFleet

Connected Products are capable of transmitting product data via electronic communication services (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, NB-IoT), physical connections (e.g., LAN), or device-internal access (e.g., access point).

2.2. Related services include software and device control, configuration, diagnostics, and maintenance, provided by our company or an affiliated entity.

3. Data Generated by Connected Products and Related Services

3.1. Types of Data

  • Robots
    • Continuous operational data (VDA5050 state messages)
    • State and status data: location, orientation, actions, velocity, battery charge, etc.
  • AnyFleet
    • Receives and processes IoT device data (e.g., (VDA5050 state messages, connection status)

3.2. Data Format

Data exchange is in JSON format. All data according this Section 3 can be retrieved upon request.

3.3. Classification of Data

The data includes only non-personal information.The data include only non-personal information.

3.4. Estimated volume of Data generated

The estimated volume of data generated depends on the usage scenario, the connected product, and the related service, but can be up to approx. 100Mb/hour/robot.

4. Storage and Planned Retention

Non-personal data is deleted at regular intervals.

For personal data, the retention period is determined by the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and, where relevant, Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy Directive).

5. Generation of Data by Connected Products

Our connected products can continuously generate Data. Some of this Data is transmitted in real time, but the frequency of Data collection may vary depending on the specific connected product and its usage scenario.

6. Data Access

Data generated by connected products can be requested by the user via the Idealworks ticketing process. To do so, a ticket with the priority “Low” must be created and the request described accordingly.

If access to the ticketing system is not available, the request for the provision of information data can alternatively be submitted by email to helpdesk@idealworks.com.

In both cases, the request must contain sufficient information to clearly identify the user and the relevant product. Once the request has been received, the user will be informed about the next steps and the provision of the requested data.

7. Disclosure of Data to Third Parties at the Customer’s Request

If requested by the Customer, we will grant access to the Customer’s Data to a third party designated by the Customer – at no cost to the Customer. To initiate this process, the Customer must follow the procedure outlined in Section 6 and use the subject line “Data Act: Third-Party Access”.

The message must include sufficient information to clearly identify both the Customer and the designated third party – including company name and a contact person – so that we can coordinate the technical implementation. Before any data is shared, the Customer must explicitly confirm the transfer.

Following this, we will enter into a Data Access Agreement with the designated third party.

The Customer may terminate the data sharing at any time by revoking their consent directly with the third party and informing us accordingly.
