BMW Group wins the Deutscher Logistik-Preis from the German Logistics Association (BVL) for Logistics Next — a pioneering intralogistics program built on digitalization, autonomous transport robots, and a fully connected supply chain. The Smart Transport Robot, the iw.hub's predecessor, is central to the work. External demand for the platform begins to outpace what an in-house program can serve. NOVEMBER

Idealworks founded as a 100% BMW Group subsidiary in Munich. The mandate was specific: build an AMR system that could operate reliably inside BMW Group's high-volume automotive production, tolerant of brownfield environments, interoperable with existing MES and WMS infrastructure, and robust enough for three-shift, 24/7 operation. The founding team came directly from BMW Group's logistics innovation department. The company launched with the iw.hub underride AMR and AnyFleet cloud orchestration (now Idealworks OS) as its core product family.

JULY

iw.hub earns the IFOY Award in the Automated Guided Vehicle category — the logistics industry's most recognized technology prize, assessed by an independent jury of logistics journalists. Within one year of founding, the iw.hub had been validated as a category-leading product not just by BMW Group, but by the broader intralogistics industry.

AUGUST

Strategic partnership announced with Linde Material Handling — channel distribution and local project execution, extending Idealworks' reach to Linde's customer base across European warehouse and manufacturing environments.

OCTOBER

Strategic partnership announced with STILL — a second major European material handling channel partner. Together, Linde and STILL give Idealworks distribution infrastructure across core European industrial markets.

NOVEMBER

Certified NVIDIA Solution Advisor: Consultant — validating technical collaboration on GPU-accelerated perception, simulation, and robotics system intelligence.

Agile Robots SE becomes majority shareholder through a Series A financing round. The investment accelerates product development on the software and AI side and opens access to Agile Robots' robotics research network and relationship with NVIDIA.

BMW Group surpasses 1,000 iw.hubs across seven plants: Regensburg, Dingolfing, Munich, Spartanburg, Steyr, Hams Hall, and Leipzig — running at 98.5% availability and 30,000 missions per day. Deployments also confirmed at Toyota North America, Zalando SE, CLAAS, DRÄXLMAIER, Noerpel, Geis Group, MoldTecs, and Shape Corp.

JUNE

AnyFleet expansion announced: full integration with the Mega NVIDIA Omniverse Blueprint. Customers can now validate AMR routing, task allocation, and traffic management in simulation before any robot moves on the physical floor.

SEPTEMBER

Agile Robots AG completes acquisition of the remaining shares — Idealworks becomes a 100% wholly owned subsidiary. BMW Group remains a long-term partner.

MARCH

VDA 5050 3.0.0 released, co-led by Idealworks after three years of core team work and 243 pull requests. Introduces AMR-native features including path sharing and zone-based traffic management.

cuVSLAM whitepaper co-authored and published with NVIDIA, documenting the GPU-accelerated visual SLAM system for industrial AMR localization. Featured twice in Jensen Huang's NVIDIA GTC keynote.

AnyFleet is renamed Idealworks Orchestration System (Idealworks OS).

Idealworks named an IFOY 2026 finalist in the Intralogistics Software category, announced at LogiMAT 2026 in Stuttgart.

Materialfluss Product of the Year 2026 — 3rd place in the Software category.

APRIL

Idealworks expands to North America with Idealworks Inc., established in Greenville, South Carolina. The U.S. entity debuts at MODEX 2026 in Atlanta.
